Anne Ngugi

Senior Investment Manager

Anne Ngugi joined the team in March 2025 as Senior Investment Manager at DOB Equity. She has over 15 years of experience investing in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in East Africa, where she has been involved in origination, structuring of debt, equity and mezzanine transactions, and value creation in portfolio companies.

Her immediate post prior to joining DOB Equity was with Goodwell Investments B.V. as Senior Investment Manager. Her role there was team lead in the end to end investment process, in an Impact Venture Debt Fund investing in early and growth stage businesses, with a nexus between climate action and gender.

She began her career at Actis where she supported the team in portfolio management across investments in E. Africa. Anne then joined AfricInvest and was involved in transactions spanning financial services, education and FMCG before moving to Pearl Capital Partners, an Impact Investment Fund Manager investing in SMEs in the East African agribusiness sector.

Anne gained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and an MBA from University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, U.K.
