Victory Farms is sub-Saharan Africa’s fastest growing fish farm. Established in 2015 and based in Homa Bay near Lake Victoria, Kenya, Victory Farms supplies tilapia for the Kenyan market. The company is vertically integrated with breeding facilities and a sales depot in Nairobi.  

The company’s mission is to build commercial tilapia farms that can provide affordable, accessible, and healthy protein to millions of people in East Africa. Victory Farm aims to do so while also working toward becoming the most sustainable fish farm on the planet and it aims to become the world’s first carbon neutral fish farm.       

Victory Farms started against the backdrop of rapidly declining wild fish catch in Lake Victoria, increasing demand for protein, and high levels of undernourishment. Victory Farm uses the best aquaculture practices from around the globe to sell healthy and fresh tilapia into low-income Kenyan neighbourhoods daily. The company has also supported several small business and entrepreneurs in its regions of operations and trains its employees on aquaculture, management practices and leadership, with many of them rising through the organization.
