Natural Extracts Industries Ltd (NEI), is an intergrated natural vanilla flavor manufacturer based in Moshi, Tanzania. Established in 2011, NEI currently works with over 5,000 smallholder farmers distributed in seven Tanzanian regions (Kilimanjaro, Kagera, Arusha, Morogoro, Mbeya, Tanga and Iringa) and Uganda. Vanilla is a shade crop, an additional crop to most of the farmers providing additional income.  The Company sources green vanilla pods from smallholder farmers and skillfully manufactures them into unique premium quality vanilla products which are mainly sold to speciality food companies and flavor houses in the global market. NEI also manufactures cacao, coffee and orange extracts and cocoa solids sourced from SHFs in Tanzania
